Eric Freedman has been an associate with Chimpoulis & Hunter, P.A. since passing the Florida Bar Exam in the fall of 2014 and specializes in the areas of medical malpractice and nursing home negligence. Eric has successfully represented medical providers in a variety of administrative actions before the Florida Department of Health and civil matters throughout South Florida. He has prevailed on numerous Motions to Dismiss and Motions for Summary Judgment, as well as a recent Petition for Writ of Certiorari that was granted by the Fourth District Court of Appeal and resulted in a dismissal for his client.

Prior to joining Chimpoulis & Hunter, P.A., Eric earned his B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia in 2011, where he worked closely with the Athens Justice Project, an organization committed to providing representation to low-income individuals facing pending criminal charges. Afterwards, Eric achieved his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami in 2014, where he graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Eric was an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review. Eric also clerked for the Honorable Frank A. Shepherd A. Shepherd at the Third District Court of Appeal, and he interned for a prominent civil defense firm in Coral Gables, Florida, representing businesses and insurers in all aspects of litigation.

Eric has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2014, and he is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
